MacHole

Route any app's audio to any output device — on your Mac.

MacHole is a small, friendly menu-bar app that lets you decide where each application's sound goes. Send your music to the speakers, keep calls in your headphones, and push a game to your audio interface — all at the same time. No kernel extensions, just native macOS audio.

How it works

  1. Open MacHole — it lives quietly in your menu bar.
  2. Click the menu-bar icon to see the apps that are playing audio.
  3. Pick an output device for each app from the dropdown.
  4. That's it. The first time, you may be asked to grant audio permission.
