MacHole
Route any app's audio to any output device — on your Mac.
MacHole is a small, friendly menu-bar app that lets you decide where each application's sound goes. Send your music to the speakers, keep calls in your headphones, and push a game to your audio interface — all at the same time. No kernel extensions, just native macOS audio.
How it works
- Open MacHole — it lives quietly in your menu bar.
- Click the menu-bar icon to see the apps that are playing audio.
- Pick an output device for each app from the dropdown.
- That's it. The first time, you may be asked to grant audio permission.
Features
- Per-app audio output routing.
- Native menu-bar dropdown that stays out of your way.
- Advanced settings window for finer control.
- Remembers your choices between launches.
- No kernel extensions — built on Core Audio process taps.
Requirements
